Late 90s 3D game worlds + bittersweet dreamcore

Cyber Seventh is built around the two core themes of nostalgia and liminality.

Starry-eyed melodies, chords and beats represent a denial of years gone by, disguising an insidious realization that your once vivid memories of the past are only growing more obscure.

A journey exploring the past you once knew and the past you know now

Imagine uncovering an old disc of your favourite childhood game, then discovering the contrast between what you remember it being and what it is to you now.

Cyber Seventh represents this thematic rift between a past romanticised and the past that actually happened, seen through the lens of the present and future. This feeling is told through the medium of bittersweet dream-rock and eerie, retro 3D environments.

Stories told through imaginary soundtracks from games that never existed

This is a trip back to a nostalgic past married with the uncanny feeling of the obsolete. Drawing from the sounds of early arcade racing, platforming and shooter games from the late 1990s and early 2000s, Cyber Seventh channels post-rock, electro, dream-pop and a touch of jazz fusion into a bittersweet, nostalgic sound that oozes sentimentality.

Transient Retroism - a constantly evolving view of the past

You can’t go back and relive original experienced exactly as they were. All you can do is attempt to re-interpret it from the present, which is also changing.
